Yumsters!
“Yumsters!” is a series of games for the market of small downloadable games, created by KranX Productions. The game is based on an innovative game principle of “drag and drop” and is intended for a broad audience. The game received a professional award for “The Best Game Design” at the KRI Conference in 2007. The game is distributed via the Internet on the model try-before-buy, as well as on CDs in a series of “Friendly Games” from 1C.
Yumsters!
Yumsters are cute stretchy creatures mad about fruit and music. They have to clean up gardens from fruits to earn money for their musical band. Help them to win a major musical contest and get the Grand Prix.
Gameplay principle is new but very easy. Simply drag Yumster to a fruit of the same color. The Yumster will start eating. Collect a certain amount of fruit to finish a level. Beware of bugs and butterflies that interrupt Yumsters. Be fast: fruit tend to freeze if left uneaten too long. Completely frozen fruit can not be eaten.
Earn coins for each level and get the best musical instruments for the bonus concerts. Concert is a time to relax, to raise your eyes to the sky and to get a pure fun of catching colored notes in rhythm. As you progress, levels get more interesting – more Yumsters, more fruits, more power-ups that even affect Yumsters’ abilities.
Yumsters never stop. They eat in the daylight, and in the night. When the travel is finished, there is opportunity to replay the game with another rules. In the second travel all Yumsters became bendy. Third travel is a real challenge – fruits are counted only if success bar is full.
